Ask yourself, “Why do I do what I do?”
Why is important to me to reach more people?
What difference would it make for your business, and for that matter your life, to put a process in place that consistently generates new leads and connects you to your ideal client whenever you want them?
Do you get excited thinking about generating leads so strong your potential clients start conversations by qualifying themselves to you?
Want to know a little secret? You can actually use Facebook to accomplish this! But, only if you go about it in a non-spammy, non-scummy way! When Facebook was originally created it’s mission was to connect students and then family and friends. And for the most part, people on Facebook did not want to be sold to. And, they still don’t!
I struggled with using Facebook ads in the beginning. It felt like I was a door-to-door salesperson. And, here is the truth… if you use pushy sales techniques on Facebook, you will be as unwelcome as the person who turns up at the barbecue, grabs a burger off the grill, and starts talking loudly about how they stay in such great shape and can eat anything they want… Do NOT be that person!
So how do you not be that person?
First, give before you ask.
You must give people something they are interested in before you even contemplate asking them to make a buying decision. When you approach Facebook with the intent to get something, rather than give something your ideal client will value, you will lose.
So, what could you as a life coach give away that is congruent with the norms of Facebook?
Start by asking yourself:
- What problems do my ideal clients need to solve?
- What solution can I provide them?
- How is this solution different and unique?
Then with your answers in mind, create a video and downloadable pdf worksheet or checklist.
The second thing you need to do with your Facebook leads is to continue to give your prospective clients once they give you their email address.
I do this by leading them into a FREE 4-part video series that then leads to a strategy call. You can also take someone from a video ad to a webinar and then to a strategy call.
Remember to set up an email series that provides value to continue to convert qualified leads to paying clients.
